Auchenheath Christian Fellowship 21-8-2016
Main features of this parable: true repentance and the Father’s great love, but extended to the often overlooked part of the elder son, SO NEAR, YET SO FAR – not knowing Father’s heart at all, I Corinthians 15: 34 pinpoints very vividly this possibility. They were baptized believer s who had received the ministry of the apostle Paul for over two years, spoke in tongues, etc. and yet, some of them DID NOT KNOW GOD.
The love of Christ constrains us to live not unto ourselves, but unto Him Who died for us and rose again. (2nd. Corinthians 5:14’15)
However, for those lukewarm or halfhearted there is the solemn warning contained in Luke 12:47-48
when faced with the Judgement Seat of Christ. This is illustrated very graphically with a description of the Chambers of Stripes.
This ministry was given in Tralee Christian Centre, Ireland, on Friday 25th and Sunday 27th September 2015 and part of the praise and songs of the meetings is included.
Based on Psalm 50: 5-6, an exhortation that can be spiritually applied with much benefit, either for a church in decline, or one prospering but wishing to do still better.
1) Gather unto Me. 2) My saints. 3) Those who have made a covenant with me by sacrifice. 4) And the heavens shall declare his righteousness.
Key points on the growth, developing, maturing and perfecting of true love, drawn from passages of Solomon’s Song and John 21:15-19.
